Apply for a study visa (VLS-TS); step by spte :

1- Obtain an acceptance letter:

You must first be accepted into an educational institution in France, such as a university, school or training institute. It is the French establishment which will then provide you an admission letter or proof of registration + a hosting agreement Cerfa N° 16079*03.

2- Prerequisites:

All documents must be translated into English or French

• Your valid passport with at least two blank pages (note, it must be valid for at least 3 months after the expected expiry of your visa).

• Please transmit (scan) ALL PAGES of your passport containing visas, entry and exit stamps or any other inscription.

• A recent ID photo (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm format),

• If you are not a citizen of your country of residence: proof of your legal residence in this country (residence permit).

Purpose of the trip/stay:

Iraq is currently outside of the EEF procedure (Etudes en France)

• Certificate of pre-registration or registration in a higher education or training establishment.

• Last diploma obtained

Financial resources:

If you have a scholarship:

• A scholarship certificate

• An insurance certificate

• A travel ticket reservation

If you do not have a scholarship:

• In the event that you are not a scholarship holder, the original and a photocopy of a bank certificate justifying that you have the necessary resources to cover your stay in France (taking into account in particular the differences between the cost of living in Paris and in the provinces)

• In the event that another person finances your studies, attach a copy of the last 3 months of bank statements as well as a copy of their passport.

Accommodation:

• A reservation for accommodation, hotel, lease contract, certificate/commitment on the honor of the host (establishment/institution or individual)

• Otherwise an explanatory letter from the student on how they plan to find accommodation

3- Make an appointment with the Campus France office:

You will have an individual interview with Campus France agents. This meeting is essential: it is an opportunity for you to present your study project and to share your motivation. This interview is being prepared. You can also have the composition of your visa application file checked.

Applicable amount:

The amount to be paid is €99, or approximately 142,500 Iraqi Dinar,

This amount is given for information purposes only and must be paid in the currency specified by the consulate/Embassy. Certain special cases may give rise to specific pricing according to the regulations in force.

The amount indicated in local currency is subject to variations in charging rates and is subject to change.

4- Submit a visa application:

The visa application is only made via the TLS agency in Baghdad or Erbil, depending on your place of residence.
