Guide to the application procedure for student mobility in France
The student mobility procedure is long and meets specific deadlines. Check with Espaces Campus France to find out the deadlines, do not go for it at the last minute.
1- Find your study:
Look the Campus France catalog to find a course that suits you:
www.campusfrance.org/fr/trouver-formation-universitaire-France
Also find out about the quality and cost of living in the city of your future training.
- Tip: to improve your chances of admission, choose a course close to your field of study
2- Find a scholarship:
Campus France offers a large number of scholarship programs allowing you to finance all or part of your studies in France. Look at the scholarship catalog, refine your criteria and find the program that suits you:
https://campusbourses.campusfrance.org/#/catalog
- Tip: Read the program description carefully to make sure it suits what you are looking for, and if you are eligible
3- Check the admission criteria
Whatever course you wish to enroll in, each establishment has its own admission criteria. Here are some questions to ask yourself to put the odds on your side:
- What language level is required by the training I am aiming for? How much does this training cost/ is there a scholarship corresponding to this training? What diploma do I need to have to join this training? What do I need to have studied to join this training? Do I need to know more than one language? When should I apply? Do I have all the requested documents in my possession?
4- Prepare the necessary documents:
Depending on the training, the necessary documents may differ. French establishments may ask you for your transcripts, your diplomas, the results of your language tests, a cover letter, a CV, a recommendation letter, a professional project, etc...
- Please note, some establishments will ask that your documents be translated into French or English. The translation process can take time. Same note regarding your diplomas and certificates. Check that all of them are in your possession.
5- Submit your application:
Follow the application procedures of each establishment and send your complete file within the given deadlines.
